Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your vehicle's clear coat — creating a rigid, hydrophobic layer of SiO2 protection. Unlike wax (which sits on top and washes off in weeks), ceramic becomes part of the surface.
In South Florida's extreme UV environment, a professionally applied ceramic coating is the most effective way to stop oxidation, acid rain, bird dropping etching, and brake dust from destroying your paint.
Critical point: ceramic coating must be applied over corrected, decontaminated paint — never over swirl marks or oxidation. Every DShine package includes the proper prep protocol.

Inspection & Decontamination
Paint thickness gauge reading on all panels. Iron remover, clay bar decontamination, and IPA wipedown. We document the condition before we touch anything.
Paint Correction
Single or dual-stage machine polishing to remove swirl marks, oxidation, and water spots. Ceramic amplifies what's underneath — so we make sure what's underneath is perfect.
Coating Application
Panel-by-panel SiO2 coating application in controlled conditions. LED inspection after every section. 12-hour cure window begins immediately — we handle the post-care instructions before we leave.

If you don't have a covered garage or shaded area, no worries at all — it's actually pretty common. We offer a white-glove pickup & drop-off service so the coating gets done in our climate-controlled studio, where conditions are ideal.

Florida's UV index (10+) is one of the most aggressive environments for any coating. That's why brand selection matters — all three products we install are specifically tested and rated for high-UV climates. Generic or off-brand coatings will degrade significantly faster.
Maintenance matters too: pH-neutral maintenance washes, avoiding automated car washes with harsh brushes, and an annual inspection extend coating life significantly.
Yes — always. Ceramic coating amplifies what's underneath it. Applying coating over uncorrected paint permanently seals in swirl marks, water spots, and oxidation — making them more visible, not less.
Full paint decontamination (iron remover, clay bar) and at minimum a single-stage machine polish must precede any ceramic coating application. Our packages include the level of correction appropriate for each tier.
We inspect paint thickness before work begins and won't apply coating to paint that isn't ready. This protects you — and our warranty.

Yes. DShine is a fully mobile ceramic coating service. We bring professional-grade equipment to your residence, office, or condo garage throughout South Florida.
We are pre-approved vendors for many South Florida gated communities and high-rise buildings including properties in Brickell, Aventura, Sunny Isles, Fisher Island, Weston, and Boca Raton. If you live in a building that requires vendor approval, we handle the paperwork — just let us know in advance.
All three are professional-grade SiO2 ceramic coatings — not consumer products you'd find at an auto parts store. The difference is in protection level, durability, and protocol:
- Gyeon Q²One ($799): Single-layer SiO2 system. Ideal for daily drivers who want real protection without maximum cost. 2-year warranty.
- Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra ($1,199): Dual-layer system — a hard SiO2 base (CSU) topped by a flexible outer layer (EXO v5). Self-cleaning properties are strongest in this tier. Warranty registered to your VIN with Gtechniq directly. 3 years.
- Symplex Pro Shield ($1,599): Our highest-spec product, formulated for extreme UV environments. Applied in 10-hour studio protocol. Best for exotic vehicles and long-term collectors. 5-year warranty.
Ceramic coating significantly increases scratch resistance — but it is not scratch-proof. At 9H hardness (vs. 2H–4H for clear coat), it resists light scratches from keys, branches, fingernails, and fine road debris that would otherwise scratch unprotected paint.
What ceramic coating cannot prevent: deep scratches from rocks, keys with significant force, or parking lot impacts. For maximum scratch and impact protection, Paint Protection Film (PPF) is the appropriate product — we install XPEL PPF as well.
Many clients combine both: PPF on high-impact areas (hood, bumper, mirrors) and ceramic coating on the full vehicle for UV and chemical protection.
