FAQ
Common Questions
What's the difference between Exterior Detail and a car wash?
A car wash removes loose surface dirt. An exterior detail removes chemically bonded contamination — iron, tar, industrial fallout — that a car wash cannot touch, and then protects the paint with a professional-grade sealant.
How is Exterior Detail different from Paint Correction?
The Exterior Detail includes a light single-stage polish. Paint Correction is a multi-stage machine polishing service specifically designed to remove heavy swirl marks, deep scratches, and oxidation. If your paint has visible defects in direct sunlight, Paint Correction is the appropriate service.
How often should I get an exterior detail?
Every 2–4 months in South Florida. The UV intensity, salt air, and humidity degrade protection faster than in other climates.
Do you use deionized water?
Yes. Every DShine mobile unit carries a 100-gallon deionized water system. This eliminates the hard water spots that standard tap water leaves behind — particularly noticeable on dark-colored vehicles.
