Modern headlights are made of polycarbonate plastic — not glass. From the factory they carry a thin UV-protective coating. South Florida's intense UV radiation, heat cycling, and humidity destroy that coating in 3–7 years, leaving the plastic exposed to oxidation, hazing, and yellowing.

The result: dramatically reduced light output, a vehicle that looks neglected regardless of its actual condition, and in severe cases, a failed safety inspection. Professional multi-stage wet sanding removes the oxidized layer. A fresh UV sealer reapplied at the end protects the restored surface and dramatically extends clarity.
