DShine & Brand

DShine's automotive preservation is a systematic, documented approach to protecting your vehicle's paint, interior, and surfaces — not just cleaning them. Every service includes paint thickness measurement, defect documentation, calibrated compound selection, and a before/after report. Conventional detailing is cosmetic cleaning; preservation extends the vehicle's lifespan and maintains its value with verifiable protocols and scientific-grade products.

Yes. DShine technicians hold IDA (International Detailing Association) certification — the leading professional credential in automotive care. IDA certification requires demonstrated knowledge of surface science, paint chemistry, and correct application technique. It's what distinguishes a professional preservationist from a conventional car-wash operator.

Over 500 vehicles, including concours-level exotics, private collections, and corporate fleets throughout South Florida. That includes Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, McLaren, and other ultra-luxury marques across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach.

White-glove service means we come to your location, document every step, handle vehicles exclusively with clean microfiber, deliver written reports, hold pre-approved access in exclusive communities, and price for precision — not mass volume. We are not a car wash; we are preservation specialists who treat every vehicle as a collectible.

Ceramic Coating

DShine works exclusively with professional-grade coatings such as Gtechniq, IGL Coatings, and Ceramic Pro — brands available only to certified installers, not sold in retail stores. Each product is chosen based on the specific substrate (paint, glass, wheels, leather) and the client's usage conditions. We do not use consumer-grade coatings regardless of price point.

A professionally applied ceramic coating typically lasts between 2 and 9 years, depending on the product tier, environmental exposure, and maintenance routine. Entry-level professional coatings offer 2–3 years; premium multi-layer systems last 7–9 years. Annual decontamination washes and pH-neutral maintenance significantly extend coating life.

No. Ceramic coating is scratch-resistant, not scratch-proof. It significantly raises the hardness threshold of the top surface (typically 9H), repels fine swirl marks from light contact, and makes contamination much easier to remove. Deep key scratches or heavy abrasion will still require paint correction. For maximum mechanical protection, ceramic coating combined with PPF is the preferred solution for high-wear areas.

In almost every case, yes. Ceramic coating locks in the paint's current condition — it amplifies both perfections and defects. Applying coating over swirl marks, water spots, or oxidation permanently seals those flaws under glass. DShine always recommends at minimum a one-step paint enhancement before coating application to ensure the protected surface is flawless.

Carnauba wax is an organic product that lasts weeks to a few months, requires repeated application, and offers minimal chemical resistance. Ceramic coating is a semi-permanent silica dioxide (SiO2) layer that bonds to the paint at a molecular level, lasts years, and provides significantly higher chemical and UV resistance. Wax is a cosmetic treatment; ceramic coating is structural protection.

Yes, but only with coatings specifically formulated for matte and satin substrates. Standard ceramic coatings will add gloss and permanently alter the appearance of a matte finish. DShine uses dedicated matte-safe ceramic products that preserve the flat texture while still delivering hydrophobic protection and UV resistance.

No. PPF is a thick, clear thermoplastic urethane film physically laminated to the paint surface — providing impact resistance against rock chips and road debris. Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to the surface and provides chemical resistance, UV protection, and hydrophobics. The two are complementary: PPF protects from physical impact; ceramic coating protects from chemical and environmental threats.

Paint Correction

Paint correction is the process of removing surface defects — swirl marks, light scratches, water spots, oxidation, and buffer trails — using machine polishers and abrasive compounds calibrated to the paint's current thickness and hardness. You need it when your paint has lost its depth and clarity, looks dull or hazy under direct lighting, or before applying any protective coating.

A one-step (single-stage) polish uses a medium-cut compound to remove light to moderate defects in one pass. A multi-stage correction involves aggressive compounding for deeper scratches or heavy oxidation, followed by two or more refining stages to eliminate compound marks. Multi-stage corrections can take 16–30+ hours on a single vehicle and may remove 10–20 microns of clear coat.

Paint thickness is measured with a digital paint depth gauge at 30–60 points across all panels. Factory clear coat averages 90–130 microns; each correction cycle removes 2–10 microns. A vehicle with 60 microns remaining has limited safe correction cycles left — knowing this prevents cutting through the clear coat and into the color layer.

Only scratches that don't penetrate through the clear coat. Test: run your fingernail across the scratch — if it catches, the scratch is likely into the base coat or primer and cannot be polished out without repainting. Scratches that don't catch can generally be eliminated or made nearly invisible. DShine will provide an honest assessment before any work begins.

A single-stage paint enhancement takes 6–10 hours. A two-stage correction: 12–18 hours. A full multi-stage correction on a heavily damaged vehicle can take 24–36 hours or more. DShine never cuts corners to meet an arbitrary schedule — compound dwell time, pad rotation, and lighting checks between stages are non-negotiable.

Mobile & Coverage

Yes. DShine Details is a fully mobile operation serving Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. We bring all equipment — generators, water supply, extraction machines, and lighting rigs — directly to your home, office, marina, or secured parking facility.

A level surface and approximately 3 feet of working space per side is all that's needed. We carry our own water and power — you don't need to provide either. If parking access requires building approval or gate codes, please coordinate access in advance.

DShine serves Boca Raton, Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Deerfield Beach, Jupiter, and Wellington in Palm Beach County.

Yes. DShine has established access protocols with many gated communities, luxury residential towers, and concierge-managed properties across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. We carry proof of insurance and professional credentials for security verification and coordinate directly with property staff when needed.

Specialized Services

Yes. DShine provides marine detailing services including gelcoat oxidation removal, hull polishing and protection, teak restoration, stainless steel treatment, and ceramic coating on both topside and hull surfaces. Marine environments are among the harshest for surface degradation.

Yes. Exotic and collector vehicles receive heightened handling protocols — dedicated clean microfiber per panel, no contact with proprietary trim or carbon components without prior authorization, and documentation at every stage. We understand what these vehicles mean to their owners.

Yes. DShine handles corporate fleet programs with scheduled maintenance detailing, bulk pricing, and priority booking. Fleet clients include property management companies, dealerships, car rental operations, and luxury residential buildings. Contact us for a custom fleet proposal.

Headlight restoration removes UV-induced oxidation, yellowing, and hazing from polycarbonate lenses using wet sanding, polishing compounds, and a UV-resistant sealant. Oxidized headlights reduce light output by up to 80% — DShine restores near-new clarity and applies protection to slow re-oxidation.

Yes — protecting sensitive electrical components, degreasing accumulated grime, detail brushing all surfaces, and applying dressing to plastic, rubber, and silicone. Available standalone or as part of a comprehensive detail package. A clean engine bay improves heat dissipation and makes leaks easier to spot.

Yes. DShine provides comprehensive interior services including deep extraction cleaning, leather cleaning and conditioning, glass decontamination, headliner care, air vent detail, door jamb cleaning, and odor elimination. For luxury vehicles with Nappa leather or Alcantara, we use product sets specifically formulated for those substrates.

Pricing & Value

Ceramic coating pricing depends on vehicle size, paint condition, the coating tier selected, and whether paint correction is included. Entry-level professional packages typically start around $500–$800 for compact vehicles. Multi-layer premium systems on exotic or larger vehicles range from $2,000–$5,000+. Contact us for a personalized estimate.

Professional coatings use higher-concentration SiO2 or TiO2 formulas not available to consumers, require controlled application environments, and are installed by certified technicians. DIY kits use diluted formulas designed to be forgiving of application errors — which also means significantly lower durability, hardness, and chemical resistance.

Yes. DShine partners with financing options that allow clients to spread the cost of larger service packages over time. Contact us to ask about current availability and terms. We want precision automotive care to be accessible to every client who values protecting their investment.

Yes. Ceramic coating packages include a written warranty of 2 to 9 years depending on the product tier, covering premature coating failure under normal use and maintenance conditions. Paint correction results are guaranteed at the time of delivery with final inspection under high-intensity lighting.

DShine's pricing reflects the time, products, equipment, and expertise required to achieve a specific result. We don't negotiate quality — but we build transparent, itemized quotes so clients can prioritize services within their budget. If a full package isn't feasible now, we'll suggest the highest-impact services to start with.

Climate & Environment

Most coatings require a minimum of 12–24 hours of ambient curing before water contact. In high-humidity conditions, we schedule application accordingly and use IR curing lamps when needed. South Florida's climate tests UV protection and hydrophobics more intensely than in temperate climates — which is exactly why professional-grade coatings matter here.

Ceramic coating significantly reduces the adhesion of mineral deposits from hard water, but it's not water spot-proof. The hydrophobic surface causes water to bead and roll off more easily. However, water left to evaporate in direct South Florida sun can still etch even coated surfaces — prompt rinsing after rain or irrigation contact is still recommended.

South Florida has among the highest UV indices in the continental US. Prolonged UV exposure oxidizes clear coat, fades pigment, and degrades sealants at an accelerated rate. Ceramic coatings with high UV-blocking additives are essential here — they absorb and deflect UV radiation before it can penetrate to the paint layer, dramatically slowing color fade and oxidation.

Yes. Salt air accelerates oxidation of exposed metal, promotes galvanic corrosion at panel joints, and degrades unsealed rubber and plastic trim. For vehicles in areas like Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Bal Harbour, or Palm Beach, ceramic coating is a necessary protective barrier — not a luxury.

Absolutely. Exterior work is scheduled around weather windows. Interior detailing is entirely weather-independent. For ceramic coating applications, we require at least a 24-hour dry window post-application and will reschedule at no charge if needed. We never rush a coating application due to incoming weather.

DShine uses waterless and low-water wash methods where appropriate to minimize water consumption. We source biodegradable, pH-balanced chemicals whenever possible and never dispose of wastewater in storm drains. A well-coated vehicle also requires fewer washes over its lifetime, using fewer products overall.

Booking & Support

Use pH-neutral, soap-free shampoos. Avoid automatic brush car washes entirely. Use the two-bucket wash method or a foam cannon. Apply a ceramic-compatible SiO2 spray booster every 3–6 months to maintain hydrophobic performance. Schedule an annual decontamination wash with clay bar or iron remover. DShine provides a full maintenance guide with every coating package.

Wait at least 7 days before the first wash. During this curing period, the coating is cross-linking at a molecular level and any water contact or mechanical friction can compromise the final result. After the curing window, hand wash only with a pH-neutral shampoo — no drive-through or automated washes.

You can, but it's not recommended. Traditional carnauba wax temporarily fills the hydrophobic surface's microscopic pores, reducing the coating's water-beading performance. The wax wears off in weeks. Instead, use a ceramic-compatible SiO2 spray booster to maintain and enhance the coating without compromising it.

Ceramic coating dramatically reduces the etching potential of bird droppings and tree sap — but does not make the surface immune. Bird droppings are highly acidic (pH 3–4.5) and can etch even coated clear coat if left in direct sun and heat. Remove immediately by misting with water and gently lifting with a clean microfiber. Do not wipe dry.

Via our website contact form, by phone, or via WhatsApp for fastest response. For coating consultations, send 4–6 photos of your vehicle in natural light and we'll provide a preliminary service recommendation and price range before scheduling.

Standard mobile details: 3–7 days. Paint correction and ceramic coating packages: 1–2 weeks, as these require full-day or multi-day scheduling blocks. During peak seasons (pre-Art Basel, post-hurricane season, spring) slots fill faster — contact us early if you have a specific date requirement.

We ask for at least 24 hours notice for standard services, and a 48-hour window for multi-day packages requiring a deposit. We're flexible with reasonable notice and will always work to find a new time that fits your schedule.

For exterior or coating services, if weather creates conditions that would compromise the result, we'll proactively reach out to reschedule at no charge. Interior services proceed regardless of weather. We monitor conditions the morning of every appointment and will notify you immediately if a reschedule is necessary.

Yes. Every paint correction and ceramic coating package includes a documented before-and-after report with photos under standardized lighting: panel-by-panel paint thickness readings, initial defect documentation, correction stages performed, product applied, and curing instructions. Valuable for resale — it proves to a buyer that the paint was professionally maintained and protected.

Yes. DShine carries professional and general liability insurance specifically covering automotive detailing on high-value vehicles. Documentation is available upon request and is provided to building management and gated communities as part of our access approval process.

Yes, always welcome. Many clients stay nearby during the service and we're happy to walk through each stage and explain what we're doing. For paint correction under strong lighting, we only ask that you avoid creating shadows over panels we're working on. Your questions are always welcome — an informed client makes for a better long-term relationship.
