Physically Remove Defects.
Not Just Hide Them.
Paint correction is the process of removing defects from your vehicle's clear coat through controlled machine polishing. Unlike wax or ceramic coating (which cover over imperfections), paint correction physically removes them — leaving a geometrically flat, light-reflective surface.
South Florida's intense UV exposure, salt air, and automatic car washes accelerate clear coat damage. Most vehicles in the region have visible swirl marks under direct sunlight even if they look clean in shade.
Critical point: paint correction is the required step before ceramic coating. Sealing swirls and oxidation under a coating makes them permanent. Every DShine package addresses paint prep first.
How It Works —
3 Steps to Corrected Paint
Every paint correction follows the same non-negotiable protocol. No shortcuts, no guesswork.
Inspection & Decontamination
Paint thickness gauge reading on all panels. Iron remover, clay bar decontamination, IPA wipedown. LED defect mapping reveals every swirl, scratch, and water spot. We document your starting condition — full transparency before we touch anything.
Machine Polishing
Compound aggressiveness selected for your specific clear coat. Single-stage for light defects. Dual-stage compound + refinement polish for heavier swirls, scratches, and oxidation. Rupes orbital polishers — zero burn-through risk in trained hands.
Inspection & Protection
IPA panel wipe removes all polish oils — essential for any coating application. Final LED quality check. Paint sealant or ceramic coating applied to lock in the results. We walk you through post-care before leaving your location.

Full multi-stage correction under professional LED inspection lights. Zero dust, perfect lighting, no ambient heat rushing the polish.
Once the work is done, we bring your car back — corrected, protected, and ready. You didn't move.
LED lighting reveals what sunlight hides
Studio lighting catches every swirl and scratch that outdoor daylight misses. We don't leave defects behind that you'll see later.
A sealed studio means no wind-blown dust embedding in the freshly polished surface before sealant or coating is applied.
Florida heat speeds up compound flash time, making proper correction difficult outdoors. Studio conditions allow full technique control.
If you're pairing correction with ceramic coating, the studio gives us the cleanest environment for both steps back-to-back.
💬 Just mention "studio service" when you reach out — we'll handle the rest.

What Our Clients Say
Questions About Paint Correction
Answered Honestly
No marketing spin. Real answers to the questions South Florida clients ask most about paint correction.
Most vehicles take 4–8 hours depending on panel count and defect severity. Full correction on an exotic vehicle can take 10+ hours. We work at your location — home, office, or building garage — so your day isn't disrupted.
Defects within the clear coat can be corrected. Scratches that penetrate through to the primer or bare metal require touch-up paint — we'll advise you on this during the initial paint thickness assessment before any work begins.
The general rule: if you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, it's likely through the clear coat. If not, it's correctable.
No — when performed by trained technicians with proper equipment. Our IDA certification ensures correct technique, correct compound selection, and proper orbital polisher use. We always measure paint thickness first and stop well before safe limits.
Incorrect technique (wrong pad, wrong speed, wrong compound, or DA misuse) is where damage happens. That's the difference between a certified detail shop and a DIY mistake.
Yes — paint correction and ceramic coating are the ideal combination. Correction removes the defects. Ceramic coating protects the corrected surface for 2–5 years. Applying ceramic coating without correction first permanently seals swirls and oxidation under the coating — amplifying them rather than hiding them.
Our Professional and Full Correction packages are specifically designed as pre-ceramic prep.
Paint correction results are permanent until new defects are introduced. The corrected paint doesn't "come back" — but driving, washing, and environmental exposure will introduce new defects over time.
We strongly recommend a paint sealant (minimum) or ceramic coating after correction to protect the results. Properly maintained corrected paint under ceramic coating can stay swirl-free for years.

Single-stage uses one compound pass — ideal for light swirls, minor scratches, and slight oxidation. Removes 50–70% of defects. Fastest and most affordable.
Dual-stage uses a heavier cutting compound first (to remove defects) followed by a lighter polishing compound (to refine the finish). Removes 85–95% of defects. Required for vehicles with moderate to heavy swirling, deeper scratches, or significant oxidation.
Full correction (multi-stage) may include spot wet sanding for deep scratches and multiple polish stages. This is the professional standard for exotic vehicles and pre-PPF/ceramic work where perfection matters.
