Why paint dies faster east of the bay
Every car parked between the Atlantic and Biscayne Bay lives in a salt fog. Airborne chloride settles on horizontal panels, draws moisture, and etches microscopic pits into the clear coat while extreme UV oxidizes the resin itself. Add brush tunnels and tight valet garages, and a three-year-old sedan here can wear the finish of a ten-year-old car inland.

Correction starts at $499 for a single-stage machine polish, which is enough when the damage is swirls and light haze. Salt-etched, heavily oxidized coastal paint often needs a two-stage compound and polish, and that costs more. We never sell this as one flat price for every car. We inspect your paint first, then confirm the scope with you before starting.

Correction removes the damage; it does not stop the ocean from starting over the next morning. Why is Miami Beach paint correction priced from $499 instead of a flat rate?
Because no two paint jobs arrive in the same condition. $499 covers a single-stage polish for moderate swirls and light oxidation; salt-etched coastal paint usually needs a two-stage compound and polish, which costs more. We evaluate first and you approve the scope before we start.
Can correction save clear coat that already looks chalky or white?
Usually, yes. Chalky haze is oxidation in the top microns of clear coat, and machine polishing cuts it away to expose healthy gloss underneath. If the clear is cracking or peeling, polishing cannot rebuild it — that is repaint territory, and we will say so honestly.
How do I keep the salt air from dulling the finish again after correction?
Seal it immediately. A ceramic coating absorbs the daily UV and salt exposure so the paint does not, and pH-neutral hand washes preserve it. The Symplex 5-year package includes the full correction, so beachside clients restore and seal in one visit.
